
Managed Services
NexGenV provides ongoing managed services for your infrastructure, freeing your staff to focus on your core business. Our general methodology for managed services is the configuration and maintenance of custom proactive monitoring and management automation. Well before your production systems face catastrophic failure, our automated processes will detect problems and either auto-correct or alert appropriate staff regarding the issue.
Remote Service Monitoring
For each IP address under a support agreement, NexGenV will perform the following monitoring services on an ongoing basis:
Monitor general system availability via ping and/or keepalive
Monitor operability of network services such as POP3, HTTP, IMAP, DNS, etc.
Monitor network applications for correct content, content changes, link validity, etc.
Develop custom transaction emulation agents for the purpose of detecting faults within your application
Network Management
For each network device under a support agreement, NexGenV will perform the following management and monitoring services on an ongoing basis:
Monitor network device logs and SNMP traps for errors and anomalies
Monitor and maintain trend analysis reports for network device resource utilization (bandwidth, errors, memory, CPU, etc.)
Monitor changes in network device configuration
Maintain network infrastructure documentation
Implement network device configuration changes as necessary
Upgrade network device firmware as necessary to implement security and bug fixes and/or supply additional features
UNIX Management
For each UNIX server under a support agreement, NexGenV will perform the following management and monitoring services on an ongoing basis:
Monitor system and application logs for errors and anomalies
Maintain and monitor trend analysis reports for system resource utilization (disk, memory, CPU etc.)
Monitor and archive changes in critical server configuration files
Monitor health of critical system processes, restart as necessary
Monitor installed patches to detect out-of-date security or other recommended patches
Apply OS patches/upgrades to implement security and bug fixes and/or supply additional features
Implement server configuration changes as necessary
Upgrade server operating software as necessary
Security Management
For each server or network device under a support agreement, NexGenV will perform the following management and monitoring services on an ongoing basis:
Monitor security alerts from network devices and servers
Monitor firewall logs and SNMP traps for errors and anomalies
Generate and present detailed firewall traffic reports
Monitor VPN availability
Perform periodic external and/or internal vulnerability assessment
Implement and document requested security policy changes
